EASB National County Championship

The South Yorkshire County Team, who all play in the Sheffield League, won the English Association of Snooker and Billiards’ National County Championship. They beat Leicestershire A 36- 28 in the final at the Northern Snooker Centre in Leeds. The format is a team of eight who play each of the eight from the other team. If tied a decider would have been necessary.

The team are pictured after their victory from left to right Peter Bardsley, Damien Anderson, Wayne Wootton, Ashley Carty, Will Lemons, David Dalton, Brett Miller and Shaun Wilkes.

They will now take on the winners of a similar competition held in Scotland.
