The English Association for Snooker and Billiards (EASB) is the governing body of amateur snooker and billiards in England. They maintain and develop the amateur game and look after the interests of over 1,500 members and more than 5,000 clubs across the country.
The EASB are responsible for promoting and staging a number of tournaments including the English Amateur Championship, English Open Championship, Under 18′s, Under 15′s and Under 13′s.
Ther EASB work closely with a management Committee whose members come from across the country and look after a number of regions.
The EASB is also responsible for administering the English Referees Scheme, which aims to adopt a high standard of refereeing through a process of examinations. Once thay have passed the exams the referees are graded as to what level thay are at, starting at grade 3 and progressing up to tutor.
